ENDOSAL® 10 g

Product category: Dentistry and Endodontics

Packaging

Primary package: brown glass bottle with cup and dropper, containing 10 g of the product.

Use

Root canals rinsing: facilitates mechanical preparation of root canals, mineral part of smear layer removal and reduces the risk of endodontic tools fracture.

Root canals widening: facilitates mechanical widening of narrow and curved root canals, especially in elderly patients. It is indicated during achievement of patency in case of intracanal dentinoma or obliterations.

Description of the action

The preparation consists disodium edetate (EDTA) that reacts with inorganic debris of a smear layer (chelating effect), making them susceptible to mechanical treatment. Provides for removal of the smear layer. Low surface tension increase preparation’s penetration into the hard tissues of the tooth.

Handling the product

Root canals rinsing:

Insert the preparation into the root canal using syringe with needle with lateral perforation. It should be inserted on depth 2 mm shorter than total canal length, so needle’s top should penetrate around the root apex. Needle, under any circumstances, should not wedge in the root canal. While application do not excessively pressure on the syringe piston, as the irrigation liquid should not force beyond the root apex. To avoid needle detachment it is recommended to use Luer-Lock syringe. Order preparation effectively removed the smear layer, root canal should be rinsed for 1-2 minutes. In case of wide apical foramen (root resorption, excessively extended or immature root apex) irrigate cautiously.

In conventional cases, rinsing root canals should be performed after the complete preparation canals. To prevent possible interactions with other agents, before and after use of this device is recommended to rinse with purified water.

Root canals widening:

  1. In order to manifest and reaming of canal orifices, place a swab soaked with Endosal® in the pulp chamber for 24 hours.
  2. In order to achieve patency or widening canal diameter rinse canal very often and leave the preparation for 3-5 minutes. Continue instrumentation at the same time.
