ENDOCREAM®

Product category: Dentistry and Endodontics

Packaging

Primary package:

Syringe with protective cap containing 5.5 g of cream.

Use

Endocream® is recommended for applying during preparation of any root canals.

It is especially recommended for:

  • narrow canal initial instrumentation, especially during achievement of patency,
  • orifice finding and preparation of calcified and blocked canals,
  • manual instrumentation of obliterated root canals,
  • manual instrumentation of narrow and curved canals,
  • rotary instrumentation, especially narrow and curved canals.

Endocream® applied alternately with solution of sodium hypochlorite (i.e. CHLORAN 2.0%, CHLORAN PLUS) provides pulp and debris removal from the canal and tooth chamber, it also enables removal of a smear layer, which occurs during root canal treatment.

Description of the action

The preparation contains disodium edetate that reacts with inorganic debris of a smear layer (chelating effect) and makes instruments penetration easier. Optimum time of action inside the canal is 1-5 minutes.

The second, very important component is carbamide peroxide. Active oxygen is released during application, which significantly improves cleaning effect of the product. The phenomenon especially increases during rinsing the canal with sodium hypochlorite. Due to the great amount of released oxygen it foams and removes debris from the canal.

Moreover, Endocream® exhibits lubricating properties due to its texture and glycols contents, it simplifies file’s sliding and canal preparation, as well as reduces the risk of tool fracture inside the canal.

Handling the product

  1. Remove protective cap from the syringe and fix disposable tip (blunt disposable needle).
  2. Using disposable tip, apply small amount of the product in the root canal or directly on the instrument, and then start instrumentation. Do not apply the material beyond the root apex.
  3. After instrumentation change file for one size bigger, and rinse the canal copiously with sodium hypochlorite (i.e. CHLORAN 2.0%, CHLORAN PLUS) using at least 2 ml. Lack of sodium hypochlorite irrigation reduces the Endocream®
  4. Before using next file you should apply the cream again.
  5. After widening of root canal up to diameter that provides safe preparation, discontinue application of lubricating agent and irrigate only with sodium hypochlorite.
  6. While instrumentation is finished irrigate the canal copiously with solution of sodium hypochlorite (10 ml minimum).
